To The Editor of the Provincetown Banner:
In response to your editorial ” True Patriotism”
It would benefit your readers if your editorial contained some balance
so let me offer, respectfully, an alternative point of view:
First, you state the usual enemies in your third paragraph as if they are the
only ones that describe frustrated citizen protests as unpatriotic. You also
fail to mention the unprecedented financial donations from Wall Street to Obama
and Democrats in the present and last election cycle, according to
The latest Solyndra scandal is the best example of this.
Secondly, the “unfettered” pressure is also “unfettered” union power which
funnels money from their willing and unwilling members to the politicians and

federal government who spends more than it takes in and not ask how does this
benefit society? Are the Occupy Wall Street protesters benefiting from corporate
products from their clothing and shoes to their electronic devices?
America, no doubt, has made mistakes, no doubt, but why only state the greed

discoveries, innovations and the thousands of families and immigrants that have
had a better life.
We agree regulations are needed and unions were born because of this but when
both have grown to unrealistic and unsustainable expectations something must be
done or “Greece is the word”.
Who regulates big government?
It’s the citizen who calls for freedom and freedom is limited government.

We the people are the true patriots when we shed the sunlight on Big
Government and ALL the bad players in the game not just the ones on the other
